How to turn off annoying LinkedIn auto-playing video “feature”

Have you noticed that as you scroll through your LinkedIn feed, videos automatically start to play?  Apparently this annoying “feature” was first pioneered by Facebook  and LinkedIn decided that, as a business platform, it made sense to provide additional distraction to business owners by auto-playing videos posted in their stream.

Obviously, as business owners and builders and connectors, we aren’t to be trusted to click the “play” button on video content that looks interesting and instead deserve to have it rammed down our throats.

It may be that I am the only person who finds this irritating but just in case I am not, here’s how to turn this off.

First, hover over your profile image top right and next to Privacy & Settings, click Manage.

Then look for the Auto-play videos option, and on the right, change to no.
